Firangai Mata Mandir Trek Dec_2020

Firangai Mata Temple is a beautiful temple near Talgaon Dabhade. It is about 55km from Pune and 8km from Talegaon Dabhade. It is near the MIDC area of Talegaon. The trek starting point is behind Bharat Iron Syndicate Company. Parking is Free at unsupervised open place. 


The trek is simple. It will take 30-40 mins to reach the temple. The trail is clear and no chance of getting lost. Carry Food and water with you. The hike is simple. Go on the weekends. Some morning joggers and local pilgrims can be seen on the trail.

Be aware of beehives at the overhangs. 
If you want to go on the top of the hill take right side path then you will see water tanks and small caves as seen in the photos below

Kambre Caves


We the Trekking Paltan, Pune visited on 31st December 2023

Kambre caves are situated near Kambre village which is about 70 km from Pune city. It will take two hours to reach the village.  

Pune-Old Pune-Mumbai highway - Talegaon Dabhade - Vadgoan Maval - Kanhe Fata - Takawe -Mau - Jagtap waterfall - Wadeshwar -Nagathli - Kambre Village

The cave is situated in the middle of the cliff of the mountain.
30-40 minutes are enough to get up the Caves. 
There is one rock patch of 15 to 20 feet where you essentially need rope and climbing instruments. 4 hours are enough for the complete visit. 
There are 2-3 natural caves here. In some of the Caves, the rooms and water tanks are designed. There is no religious sculptures or statues found in the Caves.
The main attraction of the Kambre is a small rock-cut tunnel of 15 to 20 feet, which takes you into the biggest cave.
We can see the beautiful view of the Thokarwadi Dam backwater. 
There is no food and water on the trek route but it can be made available in the base village of Kambre.

After 20 mins, we will reach the rock patch where some safety equipments are essential to climb.

After the rock patch, we reach at parallel height of the cave. One big cave is on the left side and the famous rock-cut tunnel is there on the right-hand side.
