About - Padmavati - Padubai mata temple is an offbeat location for the trekking. The temple is situated on the unbelievable 90 degree edge of the Sahyadri.
It is about 60 km from the Pune city. The place is located on Google map. Search Padmavati (Nigade) Caves on the map.
How to Reach - Pune- Dehu road - Talegaon Dabhade - MIDC - Left - Mangrul village - Ambi-Ambale road - Nigade - Parking in the village.
road condition
Go to the village after the farms at the base of the hill. Try to reach the nearest to the base.
See the images below to locate the temple. Two-wheelers can reach the nearest base. Cars should be parked in the Nigade Village.
Because next trail through the jungle. The trail is not clear because there are hardly any visitors here.
Take a local guide from the Nigade village.
Overall three hours are sufficient for the place. You can plan a day visit with Mangarul fort and Padubai mata temple.
Going out of the village
Proceed after this farm
Jungle patch
There is a quick hike after the jungle. It is very slippery due to loose soil.
Need to climb a difficult rock patch with an old ladder with high step distance.
After the rock patch, we reach the parallel level of the temple. Go to the right side towards the temple. From here there is a very narrow trail in the middle of the ridge wall. BE VERY CAREFUL.
